♡ 45 ( +1 | -1 ) KQ vs KP1) I know that a pawn on the seventh or second rank on the f or c files and King vs a King & Queen is a draw, I'll probably work through it on a board, but nevertheless does this still apply if the pawn is still on 6th or third rank.
2)Ive never come accross it in any of my games, but ive read somewhere that a pawn on h file or a file vs King and Queen is also a draw, are there any exceptions or other rules as such?

When the Bishop's or Rook's pawn is only on the 6th, and the stronger side has to move, there're only a very very few positions where the King obstructs his own Queen to make the correct moves, thus allowing the other side to draw.
